Highway
The Pemiscot County Port facility is located between two
interstate highway systems. Interstate 55 is the first north-south
artery to intersect each of the east-west interstate highways west of the
Mississippi River. Completion of the Interstate 155 Bridge between
Caruthersville and Dyersburg, TN, in 1976, established Pemiscot County as a
complete intermodal transportation interchange providing direct linkage to all
parts of the country. Hayti, MO marks the intersecting point of I-55 and
I-155.

The Pemiscot County Port Authority has obtained right-of-way for and completed
half of the construction of a rail spur from Hayti to the Pemiscot County Port
Facility. Ten Class I railroads in Missouri provide efficient,
inexpensive shipping over approximately 7,600 miles of track, with services to
most U.S. cities. Trailer on flatcar facilities are available nearby,
and container on flatcar facilities are available in either Memphis, TN, or
St. Louis, MO.
